Banzo is a Mexico City–based label founded in 2021 by designer Camila Banzo. The brand was born from exploring the relationship garments have with memory and a need to transform emotion into something tangible — to give memories a place in the present world through clothing.
Each piece is handcrafted in the brand's Mexico City atelier from deconstructed, pre-existing garments. Rather than following a conventional production calendar pieces emerge through experimentation, intuition, material research, and a deep respect for discarded garments. The result is a wardrobe of one-of-a-kind pieces that carry a story.
The aesthetic draws from historic silhouettes and everyday urban life in Mexico City, merging structured tailoring with unexpected deconstruction. Ruffles, ribbons, and architectural cuts coexist with the texture of recycled suiting and repurposed shirting.
The brand's DNA is sustainability by conviction, not by trend. Every garment is sourced and made from a pre-existing one or from giving second lives to discarded and/or antique textiles.
