Patricio Campillo is a Mexican fashion designer and founder and Creative Director of CAMPILLO. Born and raised in Mexico City, his creative language is deeply rooted in Mexico’s charro culture, craftsmanship, and the visual traditions that surrounded him growing up.
Campillo began his career in fashion through communication and editorial work, moving to Paris in 2012 to work alongside fashion editor Tiffany Godoy at The Reality Show Magazine. It was during this period that he discovered design as a means of storytelling and began teaching himself the craft of making clothes.
Through CAMPILLO, he has developed a distinctly personal vision of contemporary Mexican luxury. His work explores the dialogue between heritage and modernity, translating Mexican tailoring, weaving, leatherwork and artisanal techniques into a contemporary design language. Rather than approaching craft as ornament, Campillo integrates it into the construction, materiality and identity of the clothes.
Campillo was named a semifinalist for the LVMH Prize in 2024, joined the BoF 500 in 2025, and was awarded Emerging Designer of the Year at the Latin American Fashion Awards in 2025. His work has also been acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London for its permanent collection.
