Peter Dundas is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of his namesake luxury fashion brand, DUNDAS. Born and raised in Norway, Peter studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City. In 1992, Peter began his career in fashion as first assistant to Jean Paul Gaultier where he stayed for eight years, before moving to Christian Lacroix in 2000 as head designer of Ready-to Wear. Following his time at Lacroix, Peter went on to serve as Chief Designer, for both Men’s and Women, at Roberto Cavalli from 2002 to 2005. His work at Cavalli garnered unparalleled attention and he was recruited to Emanuel Ungaro as Creative Director, a role he served for two years.
In 2008, Peter was appointed Artistic Director at Emilio Pucci, owned by LVMH. Peter took Pucci in a new, youthful direction and revitalized the Florentine house making it a must-see during Milan Fashion Week. In March 2015, Roberto Cavalli retired from his namesake house, choosing Peter as his successor at the creative helm. In 2017, Peter launched his eponymous brand, DUNDAS.
In 2022, The Norwegian National Museum dedicated a permanent space to Peter’s work showcasing designs created for Michelle Obama, Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, and Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway, amongst others.
